Kamma

Genre: Narrative Drama

Customer: Museum Vestsjælland

Production company: Goodwill

A short film about an important but perhaps quite unknown figure in danish culture. Kamma Rahbek had immense impact on a large amount of artists in the early 1800’s. The film tells the story of famous writer and poet Hans Christian Andersen in his early days of his artistry. It gives a unique insight in his relationship to Kamma, how she became his guiding star and how she actually inspired him to become the legendary poet we know him as today.

The film is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s own words and memories.

The film was made on a very tight budget and we had to find creative ways to make a period piece with very little money. Therefore, we had to find a lot of ways to hide certain things and we ultimately went with this particular film language.
